St Francis is a school within the Frassati Catholic Academy Trust and our Governing board (see below) sets and administers its own admission rules after public consultation.
The Governing Body of St Francis Catholic Primary School is responsible for the admission of children to the school. We ask all parents applying for a place here to respect the ethos of the school and its importance to the school community. This does not affect the right of parents who are not of the faith of the school, to apply for and be considered for a place.
Every academic year, the Governing Body of St Francis Catholic Primary School will admit up to 30 children who will become 5 years of age on or between 1st September and 31st August.
Applications for admissions into our Reception class must be done on a Common Application Form (CAF) through your local authority. A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) must also be completed and sent directly to our school. If applying on religious grounds, sight of an original baptismal certificate will also be required. The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) Admissions make offers of school places on behalf of our Governing body.

Applicable Birth Date Range for Reception September 2024 entry: 01/09/2019 to 31/08/2020
- Opening date – Friday 10th November 2023
- Closing date – Monday 15th January 2024
- Extended deadline for exceptional circumstances – Wednesday 31st January 2024
- National Offer Day – Tuesday 16th April 2024
- Deadline to respond to a school place offer – Friday 3rd May 2024
- Offers to late applicants and allocations from waiting lists for all applicants – Thurssday 23rd May 2024

For In-year Transfer applications, please apply directly to the school. A Supplementary Information Form and an In-Year Transfer form will require completion and sending directly to our school. Please see below for the relevant forms. If there are any vacancies, the Governing body will offer places based on our admission arrangements.

Admission Appeals
Procedure
You have a legal right to appeal against a decision not to offer your child a place at one or more of your preferred schools, even though your child may have a place at another school.
As required by regulations, the Governing Body of St Francis Catholic Primary School is conducting a consultation on its proposed admissions arrangements for the school year 2025-2026. The consultation period runs for a minimum period of 6 weeks, from 13th November 2023 to 25th December 2023.
Copies of the proposed arrangements can be obtained from the school office or downloaded from the school’s website above.
Comments on the proposed arrangements should be sent for the attention of the Clerk to the Governing Body at c.veasey@stfrancisprimary.org by 25th December 2023.
After the consultation closes, the responses will be collated and all comments received will be sent to the governing body by 6th January 2024 for sharing with the Admissions Committee at their 14th March 2024 meeting.
The final arrangements for admission will be published on the school’s website by the end of March 2024.
