Welcome

“Recognising Christ in Everyone.”

Welcome to St. Francis Primary Catholic School, Ascot

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make for your child, and we are delighted you are considering joining our school family. At St. Francis Catholic Primary School, our heart is rooted in a simple but profound truth: we value and respect every single person as an individual, always remembering that Christ lives in everyone.

We don't just want our children to learn; we want them to feel safe, loved, and inspired. Our broad, balanced curriculum is firmly grounded in Gospel values, naturally weaving in the shared ideals of democracy, liberty, mutual respect, and a deep tolerance for all. By filling our classrooms with diverse, creative, and joyful learning experiences, we encourage our children to become independent thinkers and independent learners for life.

Looking to the Future: Our Brand New School

It is an incredibly historic and exciting time to be part of the St. Francis community! We are thrilled to announce that work has begun on a state-of-the-art, £12.9m multi-storey school building under the Department for Education’s School Rebuilding Programme. We are looking forward with great joy to the grand opening of our brand-new, modern facilities in October 2027.

Our temporary classrooms may look a little different on the outside, but inside, the heart of St. Francis beats just as strongly. There is no lowering of our exceptional standards. Our children still enjoy a beautiful, uninterrupted learning experience filled with big smiles, high ambitions, and the warm, family care that we are so proud of.

What Makes Our School Family Special

Our community thrives on love, resilience, and high expectations, which shines through beautifully in our recent inspection achievements: · A Culture of Kindness & Consideration: Our latest Ofsted report describes a community where "pupils take the school's values to heart" and, above all, "show kindness and consideration for one another."

· High Aspirations & Joyful Learning: Inspectors noted that our exceptional academic standards stem from "the aspirational approach the school takes from the moment children arrive." Our pupils truly flourish under a staff that makes sure they are appropriately challenged; as our children told inspectors, they appreciate the challenge because "it brings something out of us."

· A Safe and Resilient Environment: In the face of structural challenges, Ofsted praised our "remarkable response" and our staff’s "unwavering focus on ensuring that every pupil achieves the best they possibly can", noting that an incredibly effective "culture of vigilance and care" keeps every child safe, secure, and deeply valued. · A Vibrant Catholic Life: Our Catholic Schools Inspection (CSI) celebrated how our pupils actively live out their faith every single day, observing a profound capacity for "prayer, liturgy, and deep respect for one another." Inspectors noted that the spiritual character of our school shapes well-rounded individuals who treat others with genuine compassion.

Our hard-working staff strive every single day to ensure your child is challenged, happy, and excited to learn. We are here to help them develop into confident, independent individuals who are ready to make a positive mark on the world.

Come and see for yourself

While a website can give you an insight into our vibrant community, there is simply no substitute for experiencing the warmth of St. Francis in person. Older pupils love acting as "buddies and mentors for younger peers," and we would love for you to see that care in action. Please reach out to our school office by email at office@stfrancisprimary.org or phone on 01344 622840 to arrange a personal visit—we cannot wait to welcome you.
